By accessing and using FilterCam AI at webcamfillters.com (the “Service”), you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.

These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service. We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

2. Use of the Service

FilterCam AI provides a browser-based webcam filter tool that processes video entirely on your local device. You are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited license to access and use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes, subject to these Terms.

You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement.

The Service is provided “as is” and is free to use. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time without notice.

3. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Create, distribute, or transmit any content that is illegal, harmful, defamatory, obscene, or infringes on the rights of others
• Record, capture, or distribute images or videos of other persons without their explicit consent
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the Service
• Use automated tools, bots, or scrapers to access or interact with the Service
• Attempt to circumvent any security measures or access restrictions
• Use the Service in any way that violates applicable local, national, or international laws or regulations
• Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity
• Use the Service to harass, bully, or harm other individuals

4. Intellectual Property

The Service, including all software, design, text, graphics, interfaces, and user experience, is owned by FilterCam AI and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You retain ownership of any content you create using the Service (such as recorded videos, GIFs, and snapshots). However, by using the Service, you acknowledge that such content was created using our tools and may be subject to the terms governing those tools.

The FilterCam AI name, logo, and visual identity are trademarks of FilterCam AI. You may not use these trademarks without our express written permission.

5. Third-Party Technologies

The Service uses third-party open-source technologies including MediaPipe (by Google, Apache 2.0 license), face-api.js (MIT license), and other libraries. These technologies are governed by their respective licenses, which are separate from these Terms.

The Service also displays advertisements served by Google AdSense. Your interaction with those advertisements is governed by Google's terms of service.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

We do not warrant that the Service will be compatible with your device, browser, or internet connection, or that it will meet your requirements. The AI features (background segmentation, face detection) are provided for entertainment and convenience and are not guaranteed to be accurate or suitable for any particular purpose.

7. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL FILTERCAM AI, ITS OPERATORS, AFFILIATES, LICENSORS, OR SERVICE PROVIDERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO ACCESS OR USE) THE SERVICE.

In jurisdictions that do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation of liability for certain types of damages, our liability will be limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

9. Camera Consent and Responsibility

By using the Service, you consent to your browser accessing your camera for the purpose of applying real-time filters. You are solely responsible for ensuring you have all necessary consents from any other individuals who may appear in your camera feed.

FilterCam AI cannot access, view, or store your camera feed. All camera processing is local to your device. However, you are responsible for how you use and distribute any content you create using the Service.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Material changes will be highlighted. Your continued use of the Service after any modification constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the applicable jurisdiction.
