Privacy Policy
Last updated: January 15, 2025
1. Introduction
Welcome to FilterCam AI (“we”, “us”, or “our”). We operate the website located at webcamfillters.com (the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our Service.
FilterCam AI is a browser-based webcam filter tool. By its technical nature, all video processing happens locally on your device. We are committed to transparency about what data, if any, we collect and how it is used.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Camera and Video Data — We Do NOT Collect This
FilterCam AI processes your webcam feed entirely in your browser using the Canvas API, WebGL, and WebAssembly. Your camera feed is never transmitted to our servers. We do not record, store, analyze, or transmit any video, image, or biometric data from your camera. All processing happens locally on your device, in your browser tab.
2.2 Analytics Data (Anonymous)
We may use Google Analytics to collect anonymous usage statistics, including pages visited, session duration, geographic region (country level), device type, and browser type. This data is aggregated and anonymized — it cannot be used to identify you personally. You can opt out of Google Analytics by using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
2.3 Cookies and Advertising
We display advertisements through Google AdSense. Google AdSense may set cookies on your browser to serve personalized advertisements based on your browsing history and interests. These cookies are set by Google, not by FilterCam AI. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to our site and/or other sites on the internet.
You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ad Settings.
3. How We Use Information
The anonymous analytics data we collect is used solely to:
- Understand how users interact with FilterCam AI
- Improve the performance and features of our Service
- Monitor traffic patterns and identify technical issues
- Understand which devices and browsers need better support
We do not sell, rent, or share this data with third parties for marketing purposes.
4. Third-Party Services
FilterCam AI uses the following third-party services that may collect data according to their own privacy policies:
- Google Analytics — Website analytics. See Google Privacy Policy.
- Google AdSense — Advertising platform. See Google Advertising Policies.
- MediaPipe (via CDN by Google) — AI model files served from cdn.jsdelivr.net. No data is sent to Google through this channel; the models are downloaded and run locally.
- face-api.js (via CDN) — Face detection models served from cdn.jsdelivr.net. Models run entirely locally; no facial data is transmitted.
5. Your Rights (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have certain rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):
- The right to access the personal data we hold about you
- The right to correct inaccurate personal data
- The right to request deletion of your personal data
- The right to restrict processing of your personal data
- The right to data portability
- The right to object to processing
Since we do not collect personal data directly (only anonymous analytics through Google), most of these rights apply to the data held by Google. To exercise your rights regarding Google's data, please refer to Google's privacy tools and policies.
To exercise any rights regarding data we may hold, contact us at contact@webcamfillters.com.
6. Children's Privacy
FilterCam AI is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately at contact@webcamfillters.com so we can take appropriate action.
7. Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect our website infrastructure. However, since FilterCam AI processes all camera data locally on your device and does not transmit it to any server, the security of your camera feed is maintained by your own browser's security model — which is among the most battle-tested security systems in existence.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Privacy Policy.
9. Contact Us
